Ellen is the Global Citizenship Coordinator, and also teaches IBDP History in the Secondary School. Ellen’s overseas adventure started with a year studying in Germany during graduate school, and was followed by 18 years of international teaching in Taiwan and Hong Kong. She believes in the power of young people as changemakers, and during her ten years at HKA she has striven to inspire learners to use their unique combination of skills and talents to take action on issues they are passionate about. Ellen holds a BA and an MA in history, is certified to teach Social Studies, and has a Master of Education degree from The College of New Jersey. In her free time, Ellen finds balance through reading, listening to podcasts, and spending time with her husband and son, who is in the Primary School at HKA.
